Aruba taxi rates, and a private alternative
Taxis in Aruba charge set fares per ride by zone, with surcharges at night and on Sundays and holidays. A private transfer gives you a fixed price per vehicle, a pre-booked driver and a premium car.
How Aruba taxis charge
Aruba taxis do not use meters. Fares are fixed per route by the government and are paid per car, not per person. Always confirm the fare with the driver before you leave.
When a private transfer makes more sense
For groups, families with luggage, late arrivals or special occasions, a pre-booked private transfer means no waiting, a guaranteed vehicle size and a driver who already knows where you are going.
